Payrolling how & what?

Paying employees on a payroll basis has several important advantages. As an entrepreneur, you are freed from employer risks and obligations. You no longer have to deal with personnel administration, bear the costs of continued payment during sickness or disability, or pay severance compensation. The only responsibility you have left is the recruitment and selection process and managing the employees. You determine the employee's salary (in accordance with the collective labor agreement), conduct performance and appraisal interviews, and decide whether contracts are renewed or not.

What does payroll mean?

Hiring collateral from a payroll company

This has been mandatory since January 1, 2020, following the implementation of the Balanced Labour Market Act (WAB). Additionally, all primary, secondary, and tertiary conditions mentioned in the specified CLA are applicable. For instance, a payroll employee is entitled to the same number of vacation days, a bicycle plan, or any potential 13th-month bonus. A payroll employee also has the same pension accrual rights as regular employees.

When looking for an organization to enter into a payroll arrangement with, your preference naturally goes to a company that has everything arranged in accordance with laws and regulations. Make sure you are well informed about this beforehand! If it's not stated on the website, ask about it during your introduction meeting.
