Payrolling what is that?

Payrolling has a number of important advantages. As an entrepreneur, you are free of employer risks and obligations. You no longer have to deal with personnel administration, you are not responsible for the costs of continued payment in case of illness or incapacity for work and you do not have to pay (severance) payments. The only things you are still responsible for are recruitment & selection and managing the employees. You determine what an employee will earn (in accordance with the collective labour agreement), conduct the performance and assessment interviews and decide whether contracts will be renewed or not.

What is the meaning of payroll?

The literal translation from English of payroll (also known as payrolling) is 'payroll'. But in the Netherlands, it is mainly used as a term for outsourcing the payroll administration and legal employment of employees. But what exactly does such a payroll construction look like? The entrepreneur himself selects his employees and asks a certified payroll company to employ them. The employee is thus on the payroll of the payroll company. They are then hired in, just like in temping or secondment. The easiest explanation of payrolling is therefore: staffing without recruitment.

Meaning:

  • Spreading or shifting risk: Risks you have as an employer of your employees (sickness, incapacity, contracts, legal fixation ) are covered by PAYSE Payroll acquired.
  • Pre-financing of salary payments and statutory payments: To pay employees' salaries, pensions and holiday pay, you need to be liquid enough every month. Benefits of hiring a payroll company

Do you want to work with a payroll company? Then it is good to know that a payroll employee is always covered by the collective labour agreement applicable within your company. This is mandatory since 1 January 2020, the introduction of the Balanced Labour Market Act (WAB). In addition, all primary, secondary & tertiary conditions mentioned in the collective agreement described apply. For example, a payroll employee is entitled to the same number of holidays, a bicycle plan or a possible 13th month. A payroll employee is also entitled to the same pension accrual as permanent employees.
